A single fox stitched beneath the collar

La Villa, Primavera 2026

Fritschi is a small Italian house. We play tennis, eat slowly, and do not keep score on weekdays. One clay court, one grass, one padel, one plunge pool, no televisions.

Members find as much to enjoy off the court as on it — the long lunch, the cool of the loggia at four o'clock, the drive down to the lake at twilight. The house closes at sunset, and there is rarely a reason to disagree.

The standard of tennis is, by the standards of the house, sufficient. Samuel will tell you about his backhand only if asked, and very nearly never.
